Looking at the figures of the 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster, an exhilarating driving experience is guaranteed for its drivers.
The 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is perhaps the purest combination of performance and luxury. The British car manufacturer has a tendency to offer its V12 cars roofless. It’s the same 5.2L turbocharged 12-cylinder engine in the ‘V’ configuration as featured in V12 Vantage. This roadster’s wide body makes it stand out from its competitors. The automaker shall only make a limited number of the ’23 V12 Vantage Roadsters.
This roofless roadster will give its drivers an intense adrenaline rush. An ultra-capable race track car is specially designed to drive in the urban jungle and on race tracks to break lap records. The car is aerodynamically tuned to make it faster and has a minimal drag coefficient. A well-tuned car engineered for its true potential will leave a smile on every enthusiast’s face. Aston Martin has worked extremely diligently to ensure the V12 Vantage Roadster possesses the same potency and dynamism that characterizes the mighty V12 Vantage.
Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is undoubtedly a big name, but so is the car’s engine and its performance. Powered by a V12 engine, it makes 690 bhp at 6,500 RPM and 555 lb-ft of pure torque at 5,500 RPM. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission from the house of ZF. It also has a mechanical limited-slip differential mounted at the rear. The transmission has been calibrated and optimized for the minimum speed shifts so that the driver can take control of every cog of this car. 0-60 mph is done in a mere 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 2000 mph.
The revised front bumper design, complete with a front splitter, produces additional downforce and aerodynamic balance. In addition, increased cooling is achieved by the redesigned front grille, which is 25% larger, and the ‘horseshoe’ engine vent in the bonnet. A further weight reduction has been made with the adoption of a lightweight battery and a special center-mounted twin-exit exhaust system constructed from 1mm stainless steel. In order to ensure the V12 Vantage Roadster has a roaring voice to match its looks, the updated system weighs 16 lbs lighter than Vantage Roadster’s exhaust.
The body panels in the front are carbon fiber, as well as the side sills to make lighting fast. The Roadster’s back and rear end are made of lightweight composite material. It’s a wide-body car and is 1.6 inches wider than the V8 Vantage.
The wheels will be offered in two finishes, satin black and satin black diamond. The option of lightweight forged wheels is also offered with the same finishings, reducing the overall weight by up to 18 lbs. This one wears 21-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The size of the front tires is 275/35 R21, and 315/30 R21 at the rear, plus they are standard fitments on all rims. The car has ceramic brakes in front, which are coupled with 6-piston brake calipers and 4-piston calipers at the rear. The suspension setup is the same as that of the V12 Vantage, but this one has unique adaptive dampers.
Only 249 Roadsters will be made, and they are all already booked. Aston Martin wants to make this car as exclusive and rare as possible, so only a select few buyers could get one for their prestigious garages. So naturally, this car will be offered with a bespoke personalization service for its customers.
The interior is fitted with Sports Plus Seats in full semi-aniline leather and features a ‘Wings’ quilt pattern as standard. A carbon fiber performance seat with a twill carbon fiber shell and manual 6-way adjustment are optional for those looking for an ultimate dynamic design and maximum support for high-performance driving, saving more than 15 lbs without compromising occupant comfort.
The interior is a mixture of black and white, giving it an even sportier appeal. The steering wheel is thick to hold and has big paddle shifters behind it to have complete control of that big V12. From interiors to exteriors, the car can be personalized as per the owner’s taste by the in-house customization service known as the Q by Aston Martin.
Aston Martin has undoubtedly done a commendable job by creating this engineering marvel while not compromising on the aesthetics of the car. Unfortunately, with only 249 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadsters, it will be a rather rare sight on the streets.
